Panda Security

Panda Security was founded in 1990 in Bilbao, Spain, as Panda Software by Mikel Urizarbarrena. Initially, it focused on developing antivirus software for local businesses. In 2007, the company rebranded to Panda Security to reflect its broader security portfolio. A significant milestone was the launch of the first cloud-based antivirus, Panda Cloud Antivirus, in 2009, which leveraged collective intelligence to detect threats. In 2016, Panda Security was acquired by the U.S.-based network security company WatchGuard Technologies, integrating its endpoint protection with WatchGuard's network security offerings.

Panda Security offers a range of products for both consumers and businesses. For consumers, it provides Panda Dome, a suite that includes antivirus, VPN, firewall, and parental controls. For enterprises, it offers Panda Adaptive Defense, an endpoint protection platform that uses machine learning and behavioral analysis to detect and block advanced threats.
