Alex Faraday, a former CIA agent, now works as a thief in Cape Town, South Africa. After a heist goes wrong, she and her crew steal a set of diamonds that contain a microchip with sensitive information. The chip implicates a corrupt US senator, and a mysterious assassin named Mr. Washington is dispatched to retrieve it. Alex becomes the target of a relentless pursuit, using her combat skills and street smarts to survive. The plot unfolds as a cat-and-mouse chase across the city, with Alex uncovering a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government.

Olga Kurylenko stars as Alex Faraday, a role that requires both physicality and emotional depth. James Purefoy plays the villainous Mr. Washington, a cold and calculating killer. Morgan Freeman appears as Senator, a corrupt politician who orchestrates the cover-up. The supporting cast includes Jenna Saras as a fellow thief and Lee-Anne Summers as a police detective.
