Bidya Sinha Saha Mim

Bidya Sinha Saha Mim was born in 1992 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She studied at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College and later earned a degree from East West University. In 2012, she entered the Lux Channel i Superstar beauty pageant and won the title, which brought her immediate fame and offers from filmmakers.¹

Mim made her film debut in 2013 with PoraMon, directed by Giashuddin Selim, opposite Sariful Razz. The film was a commercial success and earned her a Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best Actress. She went on to star in notable films such as Shongram (2014), Podmo Patar Jol (2015), and Haldaa (2017), the latter earning critical acclaim and a Bangladesh National Film Award nomination.²

In addition to films, Mim has acted in numerous television dramas and telefilms, including Bakulpur Private Limited and Dui Dhur. She has also modeled for various brands and appeared in music videos. Her versatility has made her one of the most sought-after actresses in Bangladesh.

Mim has received several awards, including the Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best Film Actress for PoraMon and the Bachsas Award for her role in Shongram. She was also honored with the Babisas Award for Best Actress for Haldaa. Her performances have been praised for their depth and emotional range.³

Beyond mainstream success, Mim is known for her philanthropic work, supporting education for underprivileged children. She is also an animal lover and has been involved in campaigns for animal rights. In 2020, she made her web debut with the series Ekattor, exploring the Liberation War. She has expressed interest in working in regional cinema and has been vocal about the need for better scripts in Dhallywood.⁴
